As the year 2020 came to a close, the air travel industry continued to navigate through the challenges posed by the global situation. Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the performance of the top air travel apps on the Android platform in the UK for the fourth quarter.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker, developed by Flightradar24 AB from Sweden, showed a decrease in downloads from 5K in early October to 4K by the end of December. The app's revenue also saw a downtrend, from approximately $11K in the last week of September to under $7K by the end of December. However, the weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 61K in the third week of December.

Ryanair's app, from Ryanair Limited of Ireland, experienced a significant drop in downloads from 6K in the third week of October to under 3K at the end of December. The weekly active users of the app followed a similar downward trend, starting at 62K in late September and ending the quarter at around 50K.

The British Airways app, despite being from a publisher based in the US, also saw declining download numbers in the UK, from over 4K in late September to under 3K by the end of December. The weekly active users decreased from 34K to 29K over the same period.

For easyJet: Travel App, by the easyJet Airline Company Limited situated in the UK, there was a notable decline in downloads from 4.5K to 2.2K by the year's end. The app's weekly active users started at 70K and reduced to 51K by the final week of December.

Lastly, the Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save app, from Wizz Air Hungary, observed a decrease in downloads from almost 3K at the start of the quarter to 1.7K in the final week. The weekly active users showed a downward trend from 24K to 20K during the quarter.
